Tim's Biography
Tim began his career with the Ritz Carlton Company in the USA after receiving a hotel management degree at Cornell-Essec Business School in France. He returned to the UK in 1992 to join le Manoir aux quat’Saison as Hotel Manager.
From 1994 to 1996, Tim managed the front of house team at the Franklin Hotel, Knightsbridge. In 1997 he and his wife re-located to Cornwall, where they set up a hotel and restaurant partnership, opening their first restaurant in Padstow, and subsequently teaming up with Luxury Family Hotels, until the company was sold to Von Essen in 2005.
In 2005, The Brocklebanks launched ‘Family Holiday House’, a new style of self catering property on Cornwall’s north coast, which blurred the boundaries between hotel and self catering, to meet the needs of the evolving family market.
In 2007 they added the purchase of The Rosevine, a 25 bedroom hotel on the Roseland, Cornwall. The hotel was completely refurbished and re-launched as an all suite hotel, and one of the first south west properties, to offer boutique coastal weddings and exclusive use bookings, which significantly extended the trading season. The company traded successfully and was sold in the summer of 2016.
Tim now supports several hotel and hospitality projects both in the south west and nationally.
